I got some seriously fugly Carters stuff at my shower this weekend. No idea which store it came from, but the tags are still on. Any ideas where I can exchange it with no receipt?
The carter's stores can tell you which other store a carter's item came from based on what the tag says. I took one to carters and they said "this type is from Target, such and such is walmart" and it was based on the little name that went with it on the tag. So I took the target one back for in store credit no prob. You could call a carter's store and just read them the tag and ask them.

It depends. You have to know which store (Kohls, Target, BRU, or Carters) that it came from. Carter's (the actual store) won't take back clothing unless it was specifically bought from them. I forget who sells which "types" of Carter's clothing, but I think if you were to take it into a Carter's store, they might be able to tell you.
HTH, as confusing as it seemed.

I just took a couple of Carter outfits back to Belk and got store credit because I saw that they carried those specific outfits. The ones that come from Wal-Mart have a tag on them that say Child of Mine.

Target's Carters line is called Just One You (or something similar).
Like the pps said, Kohls will take all of the stuff with the actual Carters tag on it and give you store credit for it. They will only give you the lowest price in the last 30 days or something, but it's better than nothing.
I am not liking a lot of the new Carters stuff -- the clothes that look like they were colored with high lighters -- it's just weird.
I had a TON of Carters stuff I know you can go to Kohls with no receipt but I went to BRU because I had a highchair I returned (I received two) and they took them no problem with no receipt!!!!!
